Account director – branding & marketing
We’re looking for an account director who keeps clients happy, teams sharp and projects moving. You’ll lead branding and marketing accounts from the first conversation to the final delivery, keep an eye on profitability and help our team do its best work.
What you'll do
You’ll be a strategic partner rather than just a service provider. You’ll work closely with our client service, strategic and creative teams, and with different client partners depending on the accounts you lead.
You manage relationships with clients and translate their challenges into a clear direction for strategy, creative work and communication, and challenge briefs when there’s a better way. You own the commercial health of your accounts, including profitability, margins, forecasting, scopes and fees, and you act on risks before they become problems. You spot growth opportunities within your client portfolio and turn them into concrete proposals. You lead and coach the account managers and account executives on your accounts. You keep the client partner for your accounts informed, so they always know what's going on.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience as an account director or in a senior client leadership role, ideally in a branding agency or on the client side in a brand or marketing environment. Alongside a proven track record of managing senior client relationships and complex, integrated accounts, you’ll also bring the following:
Strong strategic, commercial and financial understanding. Think scope, profitability, forecasting and account growth. Experience leading and coaching account managers and account executives. The ability to juggle multiple priorities, projects and stakeholders. Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, with French as a nice bonus.
