Communications & brand strategist
We are looking for a senior communications & brand strategist who is driving by what moves people and turns that into sharp communication positionings. Someone who immediately sees how an idea could come to life creatively and is able to spar with creative teams
What you'll do
You’ll shape how brands communicate with people, from the positioning to the annual plan that brings it to life. You’ll do much of the strategic thinking yourself, backed by our expert strategists and more junior team members. This means you will …
- develop communications positionings, map them out and present them to clients. You’re driven by people insights and always looking for ways to move people through brand and communication.
- define the vision and main building blocks of a brand’s annual communications plan, within the framework of its long-term positioning. Not the media and channel side, but the strategic logic: which domains, key content pillars and tactics a client should focus on.
- translate that plan into day-to-day strategy, partly on your own and partly together with the team.
- build the bridge to our creative teams and think along about how a strategy can work creatively from the very start.
- come up with new formats to work with our clients and break through traditional ways of working to get to better and more impactful work faster
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a senior strategist with a strong background in consumer brands. Alongside a passion for marketing communications, you’ll also bring the following:
- At least 10 years of experience in communications or brand strategy, ideally in an agency.
- Solid experience in the consumer brand world. B2B or corporate experience is a nice extra, but not a must.
- A genuine interest in what’s going on among people and in society, and in how our industry, its channels and above all the work itself are evolving.
- A creative mind. You don’t just think in logic, but quickly see how something could work in communication, or what potential it has.
- Clear, open and constructive communication, both internally and with clients, and a partnership mindset in everything you do.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Dutch is a must, as you’ll use it daily with colleagues and clients.
What's in it for you
You’ll be joining a team with plenty of expertise and a genuine we’ve-got-your-back mentality. A few other perks:
- A competitive salary and benefits package, and a place where you can develop ambitious brands and yourself.
- Extras like a flexible benefits plan, health and group insurance, internet allowance, meal vouchers, eco vouchers and an annual bonus.
- A yearly budget for training and development, because we’re big on learning and sharing knowledge.
- Plenty of ways to get around, including a lease bike, an electric company car with charging card, or a train pass.
- Fresh soup every day, and office fruit as the cherry on top.
Who we are
Brigada was born when Fantastic, mortierbrigade, Onlyhumans, Today, Who Owns The Zebra and the B2B team of meetmarcel joined forces. The fight we picked? We want to get brands and people moving again. Not by pushing every button at once, but by pushing for a clear direction. To make sharp decisions, you need to see the bigger picture. That’s why we bring together the four key domains of brand, product, people and marketing. We combine the service of an integrated agency with the expertise of all the different specialist agencies that brands would otherwise need – and need to keep aligned.
